MAIN CAUSES OF ACCIDENTS

 MAIN CAUSES OF ACCIDENTS:

Human life is part of accidents some are natural, and some are men made. There are some natural incidents such as earthquakes, floods, lightning, and rainstorms that may cause loss of human life and property.

Some are human activities that lead towards accidents in industries, environment, at work, or on at roads. Here we discuss the main causes of accidents in detail.

NUMBER ONE CAUSE:

The number one cause of road accidents globally is distracted driving. It happens when a driver focuses on the road and is transfer usually to talk on mobile phones, send a message, read any message on road. Such types of accidents are very common and can be reduced by following the rule of not using mobile phones while driving.

SECOND CAUSE:

The second major cause is rash driving. Rash drivers are often impatient and never drive carefully. Some of them do over speeding, crossing the fixed speed limits on the road. They change lanes very quickly and come very close to another vehicle. Speed kills and the faster you drive, the slower your reaction time will be if you need to prevent an accident. Such drivers sometime never follow red lights. Drivers that do not follow red lights run the risk of causing wrongful death because they often cause side impact collision at fast speed. Similarly, a man should always look on both sides when crossing stop sign. Sometime young drivers yield to motorbikes or car racing and that causes accidents.

DRUNK AND DRIVE:

Some incidents on roads happen because of drunk driving and drowsy driving. Some drivers drink alcohol and lose the ability to focus and drive properly. This becomes dangerous when they are behind the wheel. Some drivers use legal or illegal drugs and as a result they lose their control on their body and brain.

Some drivers become drowsy while driving because they suffer from tiredness. It is true of those companies who hire drivers on a long route. However, any car driver who has driven along way can become drowsy and cause accidents.

ROAD RAGE:

Road rages are another reason for many accidents.

Any driver can be angry at another for overtake and finding an opportunity and at a time they overtake him and pass by in great speed and then slow down suddenly to satisfy their anger. Most cars accident occur due to this factor.

ROAD CONDITION:

Bad roads, potholes, stuck-out gutter lids, sudden curves on roads and tyre-bursts can also cause accidents. In the third World countries including Pakistan, the condition of roads is not best. Many roads are broken, worn-out and have small holes.

Motorists, while driving, must avoid them and they veer their vehicles to one side or the other, thus causing botheration and accidents for other vehicles on the road. Potholes and stuck out gutter lids also cause accidents, sometimes causing the tyres to blow out. Sometimes there are sudden curves on the roads and drivers are unable to control their cars.

NATURAL REASONS:

There are some natural causes of road accidents. They may include rain, fog, snow, landslides, animal crossings and poor nocturnal visibility. Though most drivers are careful because of weather forecast yet when rainstorms come, they make driving harder.

The road becomes slippery, and the vehicles are liable to skid off when brakes are applied. The same case is noticed in cold countries where snow and ice cause misery for human beings. In mountainous areas, land sliding can cause trouble for drivers and accidents happen.

On highways, drivers may face sudden animal crossing and thus meet accidents. Driving at night can be more difficult compared to that in daylight. Poor visibility and lack of alertness on the part of a driver may lead to accidents. Likewise, fog also contributes to poor visibility.

during the winter many accidents occur due to fog. And lastly, some accidents occur because of the malfunctioning of the vehicle such as system failure, brakealue breaking of tie-rods or anything like that.

CONCLUSION:

To conclude the whole discussion, everything that moves on roads is at the risk of facing an accident. Such accidents can occur due to human carelessness or natural causes. All the drivers, from teenagers to the experts having more than forty years' experience behind the wheels, need to be careful when they come on and not be rash while they are driving a vehicle. To avoid accident proper rules must be followed. To be fully aware of the causes of accidents may hopefully lead to human safety.
